Description
The Welsh Referendum Study was conducted immediately after the 1997 referendum on devolution. The objective was to:
understand the sources of support for constitutional change in Wales and the influences on voting behaviour in the referendum;
to explore the expectations which the electorate had of their assembly;
to assess how voters are likely to behave at future elections to the assembly;
to assess the possible impact the assembly may have on future constitutional change
